Abstract: Seismically isolated design of an office building in Haikou was introduced. The whole process includes the determination of the energy-dissipated factor, the axial capacity, the shear capacity and the deformation checking for the rubber isolation bearing, as well as the economic analysis of the seismically isolated structure. The suggestions could be referred in practical design.
