The 25.4m cantilever steel awning of Shenzhen stadium is a space truss of bolt and ball joints.  Compareing with box section steel girder, it saved 71.5%of steel expenditure. Checking with the result of wind tunnel test, the design is economic, safe sufficiently and beautifully shaped. The erection of space truss using "block jointed on ground, hoisted monolithically,jointed in high attitude" method, gained success.
