The design of permanent structure and semipermanent structure in retaining wall on mucky soil are introduced through a practical example. Semipermanent structure design is mainly introduced which solves the problems of sliding, overturning and unequal settlement of retaining wall. A good economic benefit and practial effectiveness have been achieved.
