Experimental results of the lateral pressure of concrete on the wall of steel tubes and the transverse strain in steel tubes of three concrete-filled rectangular steel columns during placing of concrete are presented. Influence of the slump and vibration of concrete on the lateral pressure and the transverse strain is discussed. The theoretical values and experimental values are compared and analyzed.
