The detection results of buildings of No.179 East Nanjing Road were also introduced, including damage conditions, material properties and durability. The feasibility, advantages and disadvantages of different structure transformation schemes were compared and analyzed based on the aspects of safety and seismic performance, including important technical problems such as continuous working life, connecting the protected building with the other sections as a whole or not, and how to connect the reserved outer wall and new constructed sections.
