Abstract:Based on the full-scale measurement of wind efforts on a low-rise building, it investigated the characteristics of pressure coefficients on the roof of the building for different wind azimuths, and summarized the information of the largest suctions(peak negative pressure)on the leading edges and roof corners where flow separate on occured. The results indicate that the corner regions receive the most severe suction, and the results of this study are expected to be valuable for wind-resistant design of low-rise buildings.
Keywords:low-rise buildings; wind fluctuating pressure; wind peak pressure; wind pressur
