The structure characteristics and deformation control standards of metro tunnel were researched and summarized firstly, then base on the geologic characteristics of soft clay and the research of different origin lead to excavation deformation, a series of deformation control technologies of deep and large soft clay excavations were put forward. The effectiveness of these technologies has been proved by engineering practice. By application of these technologies, the safety of operating metro was guaranteed.
