The cooperative work mechanism and design method of the internal-break arch-truss structure were discussed in the engineering background of Nanjing Olympic Sports Venues. Stress performance and stability of the structure were analyzed. Finite element analysis was taken on the connections of arch and truss to guarantee enough load-bearing capacity of key connections. Column-pumping method was introduced in anti-progressive collapse of the structure to analyze vital members.
